The program aims at enhancing mutual understanding between Asian countries and Japan through promoting research projects in the field of the social sciences or humanities that are related to Japan.
Registration of your mailing address.
  • After registration of your mailing address, you can receive URL for application to the registered address.
  • All of information shall be informed to the registered address.
Access to the URL
  • You access to the URL for application and confirmed the required information.
  • This URL is effective until the completion of your registration.
Fill in the application form and submission of required documents
  • Fill in the application form and uploading the application documents after downloading the application format. For uploading, you have to change the word file to PDF file.
  • You also upload the recommendation letter after getting the seal or signature on the letter.
Data sending
  • After completion of filling in the information and uploading the application documents, you click the button of application.
  • If everything is OK, you will receive the registration number to your address.
  • Unless you receive the registration number within one day after your application, you have to inquire to The Sumitomo Foundation or you fail the registration.
